Hey everyone! In case you didn’t know, February is Cholangiocarcinoma Awareness month.
This is the type of cancer that my nana has. It is a form of liver cancer that little is known about. Often times patients diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma have a high mortality rate. Thankfully my Nana has been fighting a long battle and winning for the past 5 years.
Because so few know about this form of cancer, very little money is donated to help aid research and treatment.
Please go to cholangiocarcinoma.org and make a donation in her honor (Sharon Smith). And please make sure that in the notify family box you put her name and PO box. (I would like for her to get the cards about your donation, it will not tell the dollar amount. I just want her to see the support for her rare type of cancer)This foundation assists with testing and treatments along with research grants to help prevent and cure this disease. Please repost this to your wall. Everyone has heard of Susan G Komen, but very few even know this cancer exists.
